Error Element

Description

The error element triggers faults in the simulated CAMS. Only one fault at a time can be active in the system. If faults overlap the system will postpone the upcoming fault until the current one is corrected or cleared.

Parameters

  • Start time: defines the time in hour:minute:seconds within the simulation when the fault will occur. If another fault is still ongoing, the start time will be automatically postponed.
  • Error type: defines the type of fault that will happen in the system, according to the following list
  • Diagnostics: this option is used to set the type of diagnostic that will be provided by AFIRA. If the value is set to true the diagnostic provided will match the Error type (ie. the hints provided by the automation will be correct); if the diagnostics is set to miss no diagnostic will be provided (the automation will not notify the error). It is also possible to simulate a fallible automation by choosing a different fault.
  • Fake level: if Diagnostics is set to true, automation can be made to wrongly detect a non-existing fault. Fake level 0 means that the diagnostic is accurate, level 1 will trigger the master alarm but provide no assistance, level 2 will show assistance without triggering the master alarm, whereas level 3 will trigger both assistance and the master alarm. Any level different from 0 will make the fault a fake one, meaning that devices (apart from the master alarm and or assistance) will continue to operate correctly.
  • Clear after (seconds; default -1): a value different from -1 indicates the delay (in seconds) after which an undiagnosed / unrepaired fault will be cleared automatically.
  • Allow late repair: if enabled, the error will not be cleared if the correct repair is in progress.
  • Notify after: notifies the operator after the selected delay (in seconds) if the error has not been repaired (-1 will disable notification).
  • Efficiency: for _ineff errors this settings determines the efficiency level.
  • Survey (correct repair): allows for selecting survey questions that are displayed after the error is correctly repaired by the user.
  • Survey (missed repair): allows for selecting survey questions that are displayed if the error is undiagnosed or incorrectly repaired by the operator.
  • Survey delay: time (in seconds) before showing the survey (applies after the correct repair operation or when the error is cleared).
  • Assistance after repair: allows for selecting the assistance level to be used after repair.
  • Assistance delay: delay (in seconds) before changing the assistance level.
